Can I test an HLS stream without an account?

Yes — the Paste & play box on the home page works without signing in.

Why won't a stream play?

Usually the server blocks browser playback (CORS or mixed content) or the stream is geo-blocked. Signed-in users can route streams through PlayMax's relay, which solves the first two.

No. PlayMax plays unencrypted streams only.

Is this an IPTV service?

No. PlayMax is a player for links and subscriptions you already have the right to watch.
